Me Likey The Rabbit

Last night we made it out to our favorite restaurant in Park Slope, Rose Water. We didn’t have a reservation but were able to get a seat. Of course, the host pointed out that he could seat us but would need the table back in about 1.5 hours. Thanks jackass. Once seated, he said “enjoy your meal”. After he left, I replied to my wife: “How can I? Clock is ticking!”

Thankfully, the time constraint was not an issue. Plus, I eat like a prisoner.

The meal, as always, did not disappoint. We shared the mezze with three dips to start. For entrees, meanwhile, my wife had the pan fried skatefish with spaghetti squash, chanterelles and shallots.

The showstopper, however, was my entree: rabbit three ways – roasted rack, bacon wrapped loin, confit of leg. It was served with parsnips, spiced lentils, and mustard greens.
