Visit to the NY Transit Museum

Today we paid a visit to the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn Heights.

Except for a few groups of grammar school children, it wasn’t busy at all. There are all kinds of exhibits – from the evolution of tokens and turnstiles to a look at the painstaking work that went into building the tunnels that made subway life possible. And who knew that back in the day, trolleys traversed Brooklyn?


The best part of the museum, however, were all the old train cars that you could enter, complete with era-approriate advertising.
