Wayback Machine: Bad Poetry

A while ago, I blogged about how I thought I exhibited “emo” behavior in high school/college.

Here’s a sample of some bad poetry written during this time. I think I listened to too much sad bastard music then….

A car crash.

A smash up.

Makeup. Breakup

You and I

And our infinite confusion

Holding onto

A semblance of truth

A modicum of love

I, the jackanapes

Foolishly believing

In my own myth

You, the one

Who would finish

What I began

Against our whims

Breakup, makeup

A first love.

A wrong turn.
