Movie Time

HelveticaI watched this film about typography and graphic design the other day and really liked it. Apparently, it was designed back in 1957 by Max Miedinger to “create a neutral typeface that had great clarity, no intrinsic meaning, and could be used on a wide variety of signage.”

Helvetica is pretty ubiquitous with some of its uses including: the logos for American Airlines, American Apparel, AT&T, Microsoft, Apple, BMW and the NYC Transit Authority.

Before SunriseI didn’t like it as much as I used to. Have I just gotten unromantic and jaded?
